Blender has a tutorial On Making Tutorials.

They sell them too for about $30 US.

Would you be willing to create a DVD for Sale of your experience Ian?

If you offer it through Blender (and other outlets) you are sure to earn a lot of income and help a lot of people who have Tons of items to do, get up to speed faster.

In June "Venums Lab" is coming out (DVD 4).

You could be a great DVD 5 along the lines of the "Yo Frankie" game SDK.

As Away3D.com implementation integrated with Blender would make my decision to go with Away3D.com immediate.

If you don't have time, although I'm interested in Training, not in licensing, I'd very much appreciate a DVD Tutorial and I'll pay you for it.

See here for Blender's instructions on creating a Blender DVD. There are other methods but since it's from blender, it's a good idea.

...Crap, I can't find it. But it was by "Ken" I think. I still have the tutorial downloaded, but anyone who's done a Tutorial on Lynda.com knows what to use on each platform.

I'm also interested, since Adobe has already complied with the requirements (so many say I'm hearing) to run Flash on iPhone (Android will, and so will even MS Mobile, and RIM STORM has plans), but Apple is holding out. OpenGL ES and OpenAL seem to be great uses of these.

I guess if it'snot a great app like Ian it wouldn't run.

Only option would be H.268 but wait, many of us know that YouTube has made an exception for FLV's.

Protectionism (overprotetionism as things evolve, seem to lead to the downfall,or least valley of the Brand Name of any company, I sure hope Apple decides to support Flash Fully, either in Lite form or full form.

If they don't RIM's "Islands of Carrier App Stores" are bound to catch up even in entertainment....and the Tegra version of Android to come out will blow things wide open (Apple has dropped NVIDIA sensing a threat of 960 cores, so they introduce a new I/O architecture (not just the Neheleim) to increase memory access by all devices by 2.7

There goes the value of my $26k investment just a few months earlier (8 to be exact; and customers at that level of cost should be warned).

If it was a MacPro I wouldn't care.

Anyway, Blender, Tesla machines.....mobilithy....a great Future.

Hi,

I didn't use Away3d builder yet, I used Blender and Away3d f10 trunk,
with no issues what so ever and lots of pleasant surprises with
Away3d!

Ian,

I've grown up in Rochester, Michigan all my life and am just a few
miles from where Eminem lives.

My high school running route was from Runyon to Tienken to Winknlermil then left to Mead Road where there was once only a lonely house and NW
of that a swampy area going to the borders of Stoney Creek Park (a
great place to mountain bike and run; which I did also)...then back to
home on Ludlow and University....now all that beautiful dirt road is
paved...(Unfortunately, so much development has occurred because of
PULTE Construction and other companies buying up land and making so
many homes, there's tons of them empty; But Em' picked a good place as
there are good schools; for all grades w/in just miles from there and
I know he cares a lot about his family/daughter etc.)...

...anyway before Ben says I'm off topic mussolini style, I'd like to
ask, as I presume there is a bit of liberty here to discuss what's
been already posted (on topic Ben; so leave me alone).

I think my research into what engine to use has been answered...me and
a friend went down to Papervision3D class...questions to be answered
but it does perform well in some cases....FLAIRKit examples I've seen
there are great (it that's what was used by the guy from Japan).

BTW, is your Productivity a result of Away3D Builder for your
environment?

Can you are anyone else enumerate the advantages beyond that of
Away3D over the other engines athttp://3DFlashEngines.com???

I'm using Blender a lot these days and I really love it and am asking
them for support in export methods (XML, Collida) and in using CUDA as
a Rendering Engine for rendering using their GPU's on a Tesla.

How did you get the project, are you in LA? I was out there but came
back from a beautiful Condo in Hermosa Beach for many reasons...plus I
like the North...maybe SF Bay Area next time.

One other question...AutoDesk seems to be adopting Away3D in a great
way; but there products are enormously expensive (out of my range); do
you have any comments there? One app. I love by t hem is Mud.

I came back from LA and have been in Auburn Hills since near
OU...would love to interact with Eminem but you know how that
goes...big talent must remain safely at arms length, and that's
understood...I

Great work. Think Away3D team might come out with some Lynda.com or
self created training DVD's of their own like the Blender
Foundation...I learn visually (hearing deficit from birth; not from my
studio loft equp? I almost did a Motion 3D tutorial for them
demonstrating 2D particle effects in 3D and the XML storage format and
particle systems in general.

Best to you,

Subject: [away3d] new Away 3d site for Eminem

Hi group,

I built another Away3d site http://www.therelapse.com/(site was
created
through an Agency btw) for Eminem..this time with Flash 10 trunk. 3
weeks
dev..one developer
(me)
and one Designer. Away3d once again performed with no flaws really
and very
very high quality textures!.
The only reason I locked down the cameras to a limited view was the
client
said he got vertigo!

Thanks Away3d team!!

*the screenZOffsets come in super handy!

Cheers
