The Bunko.pdf file is also gone. Its been replaced by the BunkoBook.pdf! Over the weekend we finished Version 2 of Bunko. Those who were never sure what to do with Glyphs now have full 3D Text support. So its not really true that the Glyphs are gone, the creation of Glyph Assets is still what the workbench does, but now the API moves up one level. If you really want to write "Hello Away3D", well you no longer have to. In fact that is one of the demos on the site.
Most importantly, the site has entry-level and advanced demos for all three platforms. If you want to see how good Away is, goto http://ssshq.homedns.org:8886/BunkoBox/Away_D2.html, but the demo at http://ssshq.homedns.org:8886/BunkoBox/Sandy_D2.html is generating a lot interest for the way it demonstrates Thomas' success in handling difficult memory management when an application needs to clone and destroy lots of objects over time. I only wish I had the kind of network resources you guys have so people could get more download content without the delays and outages. The demos and tutorials are there to watch, but I have put as many screen shots in the revised User's Guide as possible, so at least download the PDF file and see if there is anything that would help you with your next Away application. There is a description of how/why Away can do Intaglio, but no one else is quite there yet.
