Hey Lisa wow, what a blast form the past! not just the demo, but the solution for it - i had to adapt it a little but this was one of the very first solutions i ever posted anyone about Away3d.
i've attached a modified Basic_Globe demo class that does what you want - basically the rotation follows the mouse whereever it goes. usually for something like a globe this is not so desirable, because objects end up in all sorts of orientations. but the solution you want is quite simple (and just to prove a point, it doesn't require quarternions! ;)) enjoy Rob On Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 8:31 AM, lisa22 <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi! > > I'm new to away3d and I would like to make a rounded cube like the > cube on this site "http://flash.tutsplus.com/tutorials/3d/creating-and- > texturing-a-cube-in-away3d/<http://flash.tutsplus.com/tutorials/3d/creating-and-%0Atexturing-a-cube-in-away3d/> > ". > I already made the cube round, but the main problem is the mouse > control.
