Hi, Chances are that 10.1 will not affect Away3D (or other Flash 3D engines) a bit, other than the fact that Away3D will now be able to run on several mobile platforms. The 10.1 release is mainly a mobile release, and the GPU acceleration only concerns mobile operating systems and GPUs. Those new features that will actually be available on desktops include some text related features, and the microphone input, none of which are of any real use in the Away3D API.
Hopefully, though, the mobile GPU acceleration is a hint of what is soon to come on the desktop. :) Cheers /R On Oct 5, 6:10 pm, Richard Davey <[email protected]> wrote: > 2009/10/5 kyma <[email protected]> > > > > > What do today's announcements regarding release 10.1 mean for 3d in > > flash, and specifically Away?
