I would use the newly added awd export for that

you can then:

- drop/load export back in Prefab3d is further edit is required
- you can embed the awd and pass it to awdata class
- its working for both Awaylite and away3d
- you can store datastring in DB or on your server and just load from awdata at runtime or ask awdata to parse the db readed string

in Prefab3D, the awd supports like obj, autoloading of your rendered textures

Quick one since I started playing with Prefab:

How are people dynamically loading models?

I had previously set up a straight forward OBJ loader, but it seems like it would be neater to export to AS3 (with bump maps and all that), but I have a dynamic number of reasonably large models to load in an on-demand style.

Just wondering what approach others have found useful here, I see a lot of different discussions about the topic.

Dynamic libraries seem like they cause duplicate classes to download if I understand them correctly, there was a nifty module based approach someone hacked together, and a few other different approaches I’ve read about now.

Just wondering what’s best.
