yes, but it does require a bit of work from your side at the moment -
there is no standard setup in Away3D

for cs4 components, you can create a container movieclip, then use it
in a moviemateirial with interactive set to true. for Flexbuilder,
things are harder because the moviematerial tries to take control of
the parenting of the clip you supply, which can upset the layout
framework of flex that like to keep track of all objects on the
displaylist. the only suggestion i can offer is to use a regular
bitmapmaterial that has it's bitmap reset by the contents of your
uicomponent every frame. This won't offer interactivity though, so
it's a bit limited.

for a nice use of 3d effect in flex using Away3D, try out the very
cool efflex library: http://www.efflex.org/?s=away3d

There may be other solutions that work - does anyone else have an
example of a flex project they have working with Away3D panels?
