Thanks for the reply Peter. Setting the mouseEnabled and mouseChildren
properties stops the hand cursor from showing, but also disables any
future mouse interaction with any objects in the scene.

I thought perhaps there was a bug somewhere in my project, so I
constructed a simple scene with a camera and a plane, but still the
hand cursor shows up when rolled over the plane, despite there not
being any mouseEvent3D listeners. If I then try to add a
mouseEvent3D.MOUSE_DOWN listener to the plane in the scene, the
listener function never gets called.

Perhaps I have missed something simple? I'd be gratefull for any
suggestions anyone may have
