update:

We've now gotten some very basic animated maya controllers to
import... while point translation still throws up Collada loader
errors, rotation seems to work.

FYI this is becoming a very time-expensive process, as our modeler
adds complexity only in the smallest increments before exporting, and
I attempt to import the new DAE files into away3D via the Collada
loader.  I have now tested now fewer than 30 different DAE files on
our simple model.


Any Maya->Collada->away3D experts out there with advice?
