Hi, Up today I was using flex3 with Away3d (I was using UIComponent which extends my class in actionscript). This UIComponent was added to Canvas container. Right now I am going to use flex4. For Flex4 adobe team is suggesting to use spark.components.Group instead of Canvas. Group container is a new Spark container but UIComponent is an old from mx.core package. I am wondering if there is something new (new component from spark package). I was trying to find it but without success.
Do you know a base class similar to UIComponent from spark to use with away3d ? Maybe I am doing it wrong, maybe I should use UIComponent because from a performance point of view there is nothing new. What do you think?
