I know how to put a colorMatrix filter onto a 3D object, but it will not work on a bitmap material. I am aware a bitmapmaterial has the property colortransform, however with a colortransform object it is impossible to achieve a desaturation effect, that is pretty much reserved for the colorMatrix filter only. Is there any way to apply a filter to an individual face or reach a similar effect?
I already tried to apply a filter to the bitmap before it is cast onto the material, but they just get removed. The bitmaps are dynamically loaded in which means using an UVW map is out of the question. Is there a possibility or workaround that can be used to desaturate the bitmapmaterial cast on a face? Remember: ColorTransform did NOT achieve that effect. ~Dave
