What do you mean exactly? Plan to do?

Mesh, an object3D usually represent the geometry you see.
ObjectContainer3D, also an object3D, is what you could call a "group", and you 
can addChild() It.

Just addChild meshes into this "group"
if you want to have another group within a group, just addChild another 
Object3DContainer to the parent one.
You can addChild meshes directly to this container.

In case of 9 cubes, if you plan move them all at a time, just make one 
ObjectContainer3D and addChild it to the view.scene, addChild your 9 Cubes into 
this container
and move the container.
