I remember great microsoft game called Midtown Madness, where you could drive around in Chicago streets full of people. The tricky thing was that those fellows were programmed to jump to the side right before you'd hit them, and then walk away like nothing happened. You had to drive through half of city accelerating non-stop to be fast enough, and then by the time they jumped your car was half-way through them... of course nothing bad happened to them any way, because they were not programmed to die :(
