Roundings may give errors...
But usually if base runs at lower scale, it does as well when multiplied
I have used multiply values of 2 or 10 until now, I haven't tested with rescale 
values such as 3.278...

No, it doesn't move stuffs around.

As a rule of thumb, your model should have a bound size ranging from 20k to 90k 
for best results.
of course if your model has loads of rooms, you would need larger size. you can 
increase in prefab the zoom value from pref panel if
required. But you probably know this by now.
