if the imported model holds groups or containers, they are generated in Prefab 
as well.
the hierarchy panel is in the build.

If you are new to Prefab, know its a work in progress,
very soon, indeed you will be able to move meshes from containers to containers 
or remove them
with a simple drag/drop and will also be able to move/rotate whole 
containers... but for now no.
Just a very basic functionality.
