Hi,

I would recommend using the SVN repository to check out the latest
version of the Framework.

Now, there are 3 main branches:
- Away3D 2.x is geared for deploying to Flash 9.
- Away3D 3.x is for deploying to Flash 10 and up.
- Away3D Lite v1.x is a slimmed down version of the main Away3D branch
wich has a smaller compile size footprint and optimized for
performance. It was the first version of Away3D to use the Flash 10
built-in 3D API. Historically it has been the fastest but has less
features.

As a personal rule, I always use Lite. Unless I need a feature from
the main Away3D branch that can't easily be ported to Lite. Wich
version to use depends on the feature you need and the target
audience :)
