On a project I was working on a dev had a similar issue. We weren't using away3d but he had just installed the trial versions of flash cs5. I don't remember how he fixed, but make sure you have the latest updates from Adobe.
I expect you'll find the issue is only on the standalone flash player when you have the IDE open. The web plugin won't show this issue. good luck.
