I also had issues with WireColorMaterial but my issue is that instead of showing outlines for polygons as I see them in 3Ds Max, Away 3 shows all the triangles.
I looked up the Collada file and it seems than in Collada we have only triangles, no bigger polygons as in 3Ds Max, which keeps the triangles hidden. So it seems that my question has no solving. But if I am wrong please correct me.
