I haven't done 3d games with terrain before, but I'm creating one
now...
I have pretty big terrain mesh. I created bitmap to use with this
mesh, blending several textures together. Bitmap is using maximum
dimensions allowed (2048x2048). But when I apply BitmapMaterial and
zoom in - the image looks stretched:

UVW for terrain created using flatten mapping (view from top):

Bitmap, downsampled to 1024x1024:

Obviously my method is wrong. Each face should use pretty big part of
tiling texture. The tile textures also need to be blended together.
Like it's done in Starcraft II Map Editor.
So what should I do to tell the GPU which texture to apply for each
face of the mesh?
