Thanks for the quick response - looks like the original issue is
fixed, but now there is a new issue that has been introduced.
Removing the child for the second time works ok now, but the next time
view.render() is called, we get a new run-time-error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null
object reference.
