[away3d] Broomstick SimpleTerrainTest work?

Hi - been trying to compile the SimpleTerrainTest broomstick example.
After adding the missing Flight Controller class and commenting out
the super call, it compiles and runs but I just get a white screen.
Does this example actually work?
