These are mainly builded from booleans operation and sweep line technics. Often used to define "solid" meshes for cnc machines or 3d printers. Unfortunatly we have nothing in the API yet capable of doing something like this. You may of course be able to reproduce some shapes, in some cases, with the help of existing tools, but they will not give you the level of freedom you are after.
