A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - Michal Nowak (mnowak)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - "default" file with theme configuration shoul be moved to /etc
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To - Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - 3.0-rc5
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - /usr/share/awesome/themes/default is config file for awesome-3 theme and because of this should be moved from /usr/share to /etc, where config files usually live. The thing is that installing it in via RPM in normal way, leads to overwriting. If I mark it as config file %config(noreplace)
then on update is created file "default.rpmnew" and user is able to merge changes and
delete the ".rpmnew" file. Problem with this approach is that putting config files
(marked via %config) is weird.

A file in /usr is marked as being a configuration file. Store your conf files
in /etc/ instead.
