Hi all,

Previously I posted a bug about floating_placement="smart" not working
properly, however I learned this had to do with the application I was
using and not with awesome.

However, since I upgraded awesome I noticed the smart floating
placement is now broken for all aplications (the first git pull that
produced this was the one that included the xcb-utils upgrade). To
reproduce just change your layout to floating and spawn a couple of
terminals, at least on my system they are placed one on top of the
other (ignoring statusbar).

I am very busy right now so I didn't post this bug report before, but
since awesome-3 has just been released I thought I should report this
in case anyone else can confirm this behaviour.

Cheers,

Alex
