Details - I use the same configuration in two machines, one where I use two
monitors and another where I use just one. Whenever I change the number of
available displays (using a script wraping xrandr), awesome resets and some of
the applications in the systray just die.
Sorry, but I don't have further information. Anyway, if you tell me something
specific to look for I can give it a try.
