A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.
User who did this - Frank Blendinger (yogan)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - Statusbar wibox stays always on top after a restart
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Wibox
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - Linux
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - 3.1.1
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - After an awful.util.restart(), the statusbar wibox always stays on
top, so that floatings apps will hide beneath it. This also affacts clients
going into fullscreen mode, like mplayer, which is quite annoying.
I put an explicit "mywibox.ontop = false" in my rc.lua, but that did not help.
I could reproduce this with version 3.1-1 from Debian experimental and with the
recent git version (v3.1-186-g944e2fd) on my desktop machine. Strangly this
does not happen on my notebook, where I also run version 3.1-1 from Debian
experimental. Notable differences between the machines would be that my desktop
box has two screens and is 32 bit, while the notebook has only one screen and
is 64 bit.
