Hmm, darn.  Guess I was thinking too far outside the box... I didn't know that 
about /proc and /sys :3  And I guess it would not be very portable...  If it 
were implemented it could never become more mainstream than wicked.  As it 
won't sork on FreeBSD and only a handful of people would use it knowing that it 
wont' work on /proc or /sys :(  It's a good idea, but it'd only be useful if 
you were to monitor a file in your home dir or something...
