A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - Lucas de Vries (GGLucas)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - Firefox stealing focus breaks screen focus
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To - Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - git/master
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I use Zaphod mode. Say I have a firefox instance running on :0.2 and
a term on :0.1.
If I give the term focus and use it to load up a new url in firefox (by using
DISPLAY=:0.2 in front of the firefox command to send it to the right screen of
course), firefox will steal focus.
Firefox stealing focus is not really awesome's fault (although a way to prevent
firefox from doing it would be nice), but it also triggers a bug in awesome.

After stealing it, firefox clearly has focus, but awesome still thinks the
focus is on screen :0.1, even though firefox has it. So if I use
awful.screen.focus(-1), the focus will be given to screen :0.0, not screen
:0.1, as expected (since firefox stole the focus to :0.2).
