A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - Johan Kiviniemi (ion)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - Awesome prevents Gnome panel from autohiding
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To - Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - git/master
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I have a Gnome panel set to autohide.

Whenever it tries to hide itself (that is, move upwards so that only its bottom
few pixels are visible on the top of the screen), awesome moves it back to its
fully visible position.

With git bisect, I traced this problem to commit
264a81f3fbbe26d2092610bfe9cbe1c65abaa487 “client: handle struts (a lot) better”.

The problem still exists in HEAD as of commit
7a6b340dbbc56c4467e60e9835223a26619ed9ca.
