This only uses XRender? Or also XComposite? What happens if one of those
extension is not available? Does this need some ARGB visual?
What is the minimum X11 "version" that awesome needs (e.g. because of the xcb
deps) and are the needed extensions part of this?
Besides that: Any guesses on how much of a performance penalty this would be if
it's not actually used? (Yeah, feel free to ignore this questions).
