Details - It would be good if there was a way to stop mouse button events propagating on clients if they have been handled by awesome. Specifically I'm interested in making a popup when the user right clicks on a client while holding the modifier key. This works fine except that where they right click on a part of a client with it's own menu this appears on top of my popup. It appears that any button presses on a client are always propagated on to the client.
This doesn't appear to happen with the resize or move code in the default
rc.lua. I've gone through the code it uses and there doesn't appear to be
anything you can access to also prevent the even propagating.
On other languages with a button press even hooked I would expect to be able to do something like return true to show that I was handling it and it shouldn't be propagated.
