A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - Jeff Cook (cookiecaper)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - Add always-on-top as a new default shortcut
Task Type - Feature Request
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To - Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - git/master
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I would like to see support for always-on-top built into awesome in a
standardized shortcut distributed by default in the main distribution, just as
Mod4+o or other shortcuts are defined by defaulted and included in the main
distribution.

I think that always-on-top is an important and desired thing. We can see that
both Metacity and KWin include always-on-top options on their context menus, so
even GNOME and KDE users find value in this feature.

I am aware that this functionality can be added oneself to rc.lua, but I don't
want to do that on clean installs anymore. I want it to be a prominent default
shortcut included by default for everyone, like those shortcuts on the manpage.

Thanks for your consideration. :)
