Details - My keyboard freezes from time to time though everything else seems to
function (mouse for instance). I have added a menu to be able to quit awesome
using the mouse and start it again when this happens (restarting awesome does
not help). Moreover when it happens I cannot simply use startx as awesome says:
E: awesome: main:434: another window manager is already running
which is kind of strange since awesome is not running. The only way I am able
to use it again without restarting my computer is:
1) X
2) go to another terminal: export DISPLAY=:0.0 ; awesome
Maybe it's an issue with Xorg? Or maybe awesome just loses my keyboard? (Note:
I use USB keyboard connected to my laptop, when the keyboard freezes I cannot
use both in X).
It might be strange but I notices a similar behaviour quite often when I log
into remote debian servers via ssh using xterm, switching to urxvt made the
freezing problem appear quite rarely but it happens with other applications too
(just some minutes before I was using Emacs when my keyboard got frozen). Note:
I can get my caps lock LED on and off with my language change combo, so X seems
to get some response stuff from the keyboard. I've tried hitting some random
keys and a u came out once, but nothing more.
