A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.
User who did this - Mika Fischer (mika.fischer)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - Focus problem with Matlab (probably Java in general)
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - Linux
Severity - Medium
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - 3.4.11
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - When switching between tags, and returning to the tag where matlab
lives, all matlab windows are unfocused.
I cannot switch focus with mod+j/k and even clicking one of Matlab's windows
will not focus it.
What works is to click one of Matlab's windows and then clicking another of
Matlab's windows.
The second one will then get focus and things will work as usual until you
switch away from the tag.
What also works is to maximize a window and then unmaximize it again...

for details.
In http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.window-managers.awesome/8437 another user mentions
having the same problem with netbeans and other Java apps. He also mentions that the
patch in #778 "seems to fix that".
