A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below. User who did this - prash (prash)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - improve placement in floating layout
Task Type - Evolution Request
Category - Core
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To - Operating System - Linux
Severity - Medium
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - 3.4.13
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Steps to reproduce:
0. Stay in (or switch to) the default floating layout.
1. Open any application that could have a variable window size, possibly a
terminal. Make it fullscreen.
2. Open many more applications, possibly just terminals again.

What happens:
Subsequent applications all get placed at the top-left corner of the screen.

What is desirable:
Subsequent applications should take care to avoid overlapping with the previous
few windows. This is what happens in XFCE and OpenBox, for example. (I still
feel way more comfortable with Awesome in most other ways.)
