Details - I wrote some enhancements to awful.screen regarding screen focus
changing. I think these modifications may be of interest, so here is a patch.
The patch contains two commits:
1) on awful.screen.focus keep the relative position of the pointer instead of
moving it to the top left corner.
2) add a function awful.screen.focus_bydirection, which does with screens, the
same as awful.client.focus.bydirection does with clients.
