FS#1143 - NetworkManager applet icon flicker User who did this - Uli Schlachter (psychon) ---------- The heck? Awesome cannot set different tray icons to different sizes. If you want me to guess, NM is fighting with awesome over the size of the tray icon. Since your trace contains the following, could you also attach the xprop output for the tray icon? (xprop -id 0x36000003) PropertyNotify event, serial 18, synthetic NO, window 0x3600003, atom 0x28 (WM_NORMAL_HINTS), time 77784609, state PropertyNewValue How quickly does this flicker? Is this xev output generated "as fast as possible" or does it e.g. only go "through its cycle" once a second? Also, could you perhaps run the NM applet and/or awesome under xtrace (http://xtrace.alioth.debian.org/). I would suggest something like "xtrace --relative-timestamps -o /tmp/result.txt nm-applet", then wait a little under all of this calms down, pkill -SIGKILL nm-applet and thanks to the timestamps you should be able to extract the relevant (=recent, skipping all of the setup and initialization) part of the trace. ---------- More information can be found at the following URL: https://awesome.naquadah.org/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=1143#comment3573 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system.
