Summary - Wrong window placement after changing display setup with xrandr
Task Type - Bug Report

Status - Unconfirmed

Operating System - Linux
Severity - High
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - git/3.5
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Given situation when I dock my laptop on the right of my monitor:

I have a terminal window open on tag 0 (xprop gives 0 for _NET_WM_DESKTOP).
After issuing one of the commands
  xrandr --output HDMI2 --auto --left-of LVDS1
or
  xrandr --output HDMI2 --auto --output LVDS1 --right-of HDMI2

to configure the second monitor, the terminal is displayed on the left screen
(regardless which tag is selected there) BUT it is still handled by tag 0 of
the right screen.
So it is idicated by the small square and when I switch tags on the right
screen, the displayed window on the left screen changes.
At this time _NET_WM_DESKTOP for the terminal is still 0. 'movetoscreen' moves
the window to the right screen and _NET_WM_DESKTOP is still 0.
After another 'movetoscreen' the window is placed back to the left screen and
this time correctly handled by the tag of this screen. The value of
_NET_WM_DESKTOP is now 9.

I experience this issue with awesome 3.5 git commit 94a8c72 using stock
configuration. I also saw it on version 3.5.2 which was the first 3.5 release I
tested.
Using 3.4.15 I did not have these issues.
