I was using the git version of awesome the last time I tried and failed,
which was a week ago. Got the debian unstable version of awesome (3.2.1
i think) working. Not sure if I should try awesome-git again :)

Awesome currently needs xcb-util 0.3.3, where as i have 0.3.4 installed but

Any ideas?
Upgrade to the GIT version of Awesome :)
