Hi, I've just wasted like an hour to get a volume widget into awesome (3.4.6 on Debian unstable) with obvious (installed via awesome-extra). It didn't work. I've not really found any advise, whether obvious or vicious would be the right tool for me to use. On the mailing list there are a few more threads on vicious then on obvious and the ones on vicious actually seem to get helpful responses. The example configurations in the awesome wiki only use vicious but no one use obvious. What are your advises? Should I continue trying to use obvious or is vicious the way to go?
