awesome is now available in Mageia since this weekend after 2 years of wait ! If someone would like to look at my package, maybe someone could port it to opensuse: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/cairo-xcb/current/SPECS/cairo-xcb.spec?revision=74649&view=markup Just some more explanations: In mageia, as well as in Mandriva, we use urpmi as a package manager, and to be able to import cairo-xcb, I had to make sure cairo would be prefered over cairo-xcb. So I had to add it to /etc/urpmi/prefer.vendor.list as I do not want to disturb other people, and because I know I will not be able to get cairo compile with --enable-xcb. I don’t know if you can ensure this with zypper/yast, YMMV. I hope this can help you, and that opensuse community will accept a package like this one.
