Two small points:
- You can't resize a window to zero, it has to have at least one pixel (The X11
server enforces this).
- I added "c:geometry({height = 1}") to my manage hook and nothing happened, so
this doesn't seem to be purely size-related, but some more magic is involved.
I'd be happy about some simple test case. Even happier if that test case would
be "automatic", as in my experiment with the manage hook above. I'm just not
good at resizing something with the mouse. :-)
