This problem is probably not actually an awesome issue... but none the less is an issue for awesome users...
Basically after upgrading to Ubuntu Oneiric (11.10), my applications seem to be rendering fonts much too large. It only happens when in awesome (not when running XFCE or Gnome). Awesome itself seems to be rendering fonts at the correct size (unchanged since the upgrade). I have been pouring through the various gnome/xfce/gtk theme settings but all seem to be working fine but with improperly sized fonts.
It appears that the various windowing toolkits aren't getting the correct DPI anymore, but xdpyinfo reports the correct dpi. I tried writing a little GTK test program to spit out the DPI and it also seems to be correct though. It is certainly possible this is an old problem with my config that cropped up because of a default value change.
Anyone else having this issue? More importantly has anyone fixed it? :) James -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
