I'm playing around with awesome at home, but I'd love to use it at
work too. One small issue is that I often need to deliver
presentations, which means I plug in and out a second monitor fairly
frequently. Now I can use xrandr to manually control settings for the
second monitor, but it would be so much nicer if it were a bit more
automatic than that. Ideally something that just adds a newly
plugged-in monitor at the highest resolution and then removes it as
soon as it's unplugged. Is there already something like it out there?
(Something that my google-fu is too weak to find.)
