Hi Alexander!
First of all, thank you very much for answering my question. :)
Do you (or does anybody) know, which versions supported the
initialization using wibox.widget.textbox()?
It's the way of creating widgets in Awesome git/master.
I'm considering getting in contact with the Bashets-author, as the
last push was done on June 24th and I can't find any changes in the
commit-log which would appear relevant to the topic after July 2011 there.
I think you can try to checkout an earlier version from Bashets repo
which was done for 3.4.x.
Regarding Vicious: I tried that one before, however, it didn't process
CPU-values as intended: I get large "holes" in the data - large
sections where simply 0% CPU-usage was displayed, even though that
wasn't true. As this behaviour just annoyed me, I decided to give
Bashets a try (I'm still using Vicious for displaying memory-info though).
That's pretty strange since I use Vicious myself and I've never seen any
problems like you describe. No idea why this happens.
Kind regards,
