I know it's an heresy, but.. ;) I was playing around with i3 the other day, but two nice feature captured my attention:

-"hide_edge_borders"
- automatic "back and forth"

With hide_edge_borders the borders of tiled windows touching the edges of the screen are hidden. As a result (with the setting on) a single tiled window by default has no borders.

Actually, what I would really like here is different: having a "collapsed" border mode. I currently have a 4px border around windows because I want a stronger indicator of focus. But this wastes a lot of pixels in a tile. If you are familiar with the "collapsible border model" of html, you should know what I mean: share the borders of the tile.

Automatic back_and_forth of i3 is also pretty neat. When switching to a workspace, you can repeat the same keystroke and i3 would switch to the previous workspace. This should be quite easy to implement.

Just random thoughts.
