No idea here either. Could you double-check that 3.4.13 really still works (=
this isn't something outside of awesome) and do a git bisect?
If this blames the cursor theme commit, I'd also like to see some xtrace
results.
Also, the (obvious.popup_run_)prompt works with 3.5, debian testing and a German
keyboard layout for me.
