Thanks for your advice!
My rule now looks like this:
- -----------------------------------------
{ rule = {class = "lxpanel"},
properties = {border_width = 0,
keys = {}, focus = false, sticky = true,
skip_taskbar = true} }
- -----------------------------------------
Still, the problem persists, as skip_taskbar is a function of the
task_list, not the tag_list. The tasklist also excludes dock clients
by default (see lines 84,85 in tasklist.lua), but I didn't find such a
function in taglist.lua. The taglist seems to only count existing
clients regardless of their type, which makes sense of course.
Does anyone know a workaround?
Anyway, perhaps the tasklist widget could also get a member like
skip_taglist in the future? Maybe one day when I acquired some lua
skills :)
Another annoying thing is that the panel is automatically focused when
I change the tag, although I set focus to false and the dock should be
excluded by client.focus.filter anyway (if I understood the purpose of
this function correctly).
Bug or feature? Any thoughts on that?
@Uli: no worries because of the unmanage()-thing, it gave me the
motivation I needed to look into the code more closely :)
Bye,
Levent
