Hi David, in one way awesome might be able to help you: you can define a custom layout or modify an existing one to always place windows with in the visible part. I personally have never done this but there is plenty information out there.
Also I think most TVs should be able to be reconfigured properly. Also you might have to take a look at your receiver if it is already clipping parts. Which devices do you own?
