For that, I must first learn how to draw widgets on desktop which is my
second question discussed here. :) I still have no idea why solution
offered by Elv1313 does not work as expected, but if/when it does, then
the line "mydesktop_wibox.below = true" in his code assumes that there's
also a way to do "above" (maybe even system-modal) which is actually the
very thing you are talking about.
