Let me post a screenshot of what I've achieved so far: http://kennke.org/~roman/OpenJDK-GTK-AWT.png This is a small AWT Demo program, running on Jamaica with the OpenJDK libraries plus the GTK AWT peers from GNU Classpath. Notice the nice GTKish AWT widgets. Not everything is working yet (notice the exception in the background), but it's already quite usable.
